MondayFriday, 7:15 AM 2:15 PM Pay Rate:
$35 $50 per hour Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for an onsite position in Winsted, CT. This role supports students in the districts RISE Program for the 20252026 school year. The focus of this program is on behavior management, trauma-informed care, and promoting social-emotional growth. MUST HAVES: Valid Connecticut Teaching Certification with one of the following endorsements: 065, 165, or 265
Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
Develop and implement behavior intervention strategies
Apply trauma-informed practices to support student needs
Foster social-emotional skill development
Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
Participate in IEP development and progress monitoring
Maintain accurate documentation and case records
Create a supportive and structured classroom environment
Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
CT Endorsement in Special Education (065, 165, or 265)
Experience working with students with behavioral and emotional challenges preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage a classroom and implement behavior supports effectively
