A school district in Pawtucket, RI is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support an early childhood program on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This position requires availability for five half days per week in the afternoon, providing specialized nursing care within a school environment.
A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully. Responsibilities include: Administering medications and treatments as prescribed Monitoring and documenting students health status and needs Collaborating with school staff and families to support student well-being Providing direct care to meet individual student health requirements Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the school setting The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours from 12:40 PM to 3:10 PM, except Wednesdays when hours are 12:15 PM to 2:45 PM. Transportation is not required as the family has indicated no need for bus riding at this time. Desired qualifications and experience: Current and valid LPN/LVN licensure in the state of Rhode Island Experience working with children in school or healthcare settings Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines Strong communication and organizational skills Flexibility to adhere to specific schedule requirements This contract position is ideal for a nursing professional interested in contributing to an educational environment with early childhood students.
