Special Education Teacher
to work in a
high-needs elementary program
serving students in
grades 14 , with a focus on students with
autism and significant support needs . This is a full-time, in-person position running through the 202526 school year.

About the Program: Youll be teaching life skills in a highly structured classroom designed to support students with autism and related developmental challenges. This position requires a teacher who is patient, collaborative, and passionate about helping students grow in both academic and functional areas. Responsibilities Include: Delivering direct instruction in life skills and academics based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
Creating a supportive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Collaborating with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
Writing and implementing IEPs and tracking student progress
Supporting communication, behavior management, and daily routines
Requirements: Valid
Connecticut Special Education Certification
(K5 or K12)
Experience working with students with autism and/or significant needs preferred
Strong classroom management and team collaboration skills
Ability to adapt curriculum to meet a variety of learning and developmental levels
