life skills , social development, and foundational academics to students who benefit from individualized instruction. The Role Includes: Leading a self-contained classroom focused on daily living skills, behavior support, and functional academics
Providing both academic instruction and hands-on life skills activities
Collaborating closely with support staff, therapists, and families
Managing IEPs, progress monitoring, and behavior plans
Creating a nurturing and consistent classroom environment tailored to individual student needs
What Were Looking For: Connecticut Special Education Certification (K5 or K12)
required
Previous experience with students with autism or complex needs preferred
Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills
Ability to work as part of a collaborative and compassionate team
