Position Summary

This remote opportunity provides 35 hours per week supporting students with disabilities from preschool through high school in virtual educational settings. You'll serve approximately 50 students with varying special needs, delivering specialized instruction and support through advanced educational technology platforms designed to maximize student engagement and achievement. Primary Responsibilities

Individualized Education Program Management Develop comprehensive IEPs that address academic, functional, and behavioral goals Implement specialized instruction aligned with individual student needs and state standards Monitor and document student progress through systematic data collection and analysis Conduct virtual IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Direct Instruction & Curriculum Adaptation Provide explicit, systematic instruction in reading, mathematics, and functional life skills Adapt general education curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and abilities Create multi-sensory learning experiences that engage students in virtual environments Support students with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and emotional disturbances Behavioral Support & Crisis Management Implement positive behavior support plans and intervention strategies Provide virtual crisis intervention and de-escalation support Train families and support staff in behavioral intervention techniques Collaborate with behavioral specialists to address challenging behaviors Assistive Technology Integration Integrate assistive technology tools to enhance student access to curriculum Provide training to students and families on adaptive technology use Collaborate with assistive technology specialists to identify appropriate devices and software Ensure technology accommodations support student independence and learning Essential Qualifications

Professional Requirements Master's degree in Special Education or related field Current New Hampshire special education teaching license Minimum 2 years of special education teaching experience Virtual or distance learning experience highly preferred Technical Capabilities Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and educational software Experience with assistive technology and adaptive learning tools Strong technology troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Reliable high-speed internet and professional workspace Core Competencies Deep knowledge of special education law and best practices Expertise in evidence-based instructional strategies for students with disabilities Strong collaboration and communication skills with diverse stakeholders Cultural responsiveness and experience with diverse student populations Professional Development Opportunities
