Chief Operating Officer (COO)

to oversee and scale the operational backbone of our business. As a key member of the executive team, you’ll report to the CEO and lead cross-functional execution across the company to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth in a complex, regulatory, public company, cannabis industry market environment. The ideal candidate is a seasoned operator eager to shape the future of a modern technology company, drive alignment across functions, and lead with integrity in a rapidly evolving and highly regulated space. The impact you’ll make:

Partner with the CEO and executive team to translate the vision and strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes. Own and drive company-wide operational strategy, execution, and performance across all key functions. Develop and execute operational readiness for new market entry, new product launches, and strategic initiatives. Oversee daily business operations with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and cross-functional integration. Ensure state-by-state compliance with all regulatory requirements, partnering closely with Legal and Compliance teams. Lead the development and execution of company OKRs, KPIs, and operational dashboards that align with strategic goals. Manage relationships with external partners and vendors to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness. Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement at every level of the organization. Build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams across Business Operations, Retail, Supply Chain, and Facilities. Foster strong collaboration across departments to ensure cross-functional alignment and shared success. Drive change management efforts during periods of growth, reorganization, or regulatory shifts. Serve as a key voice on the executive team—grounding strategy in execution and ensuring company-wide coordination. Scale organizational infrastructure and operational processes to support rapid growth and multi-state operations. Must be willing to travel What you’ve accomplished:

12+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or general management, with at least 5+ years in an executive or senior leadership role in a tech platform company Proven success leading operations in highly regulated industries (HealthTech, FinTech, Pharma, etc.). Demonstrated ability to build and scale operational systems, processes, and teams in fast-paced environments. Strong financial acumen and experience working closely with finance, compliance, and legal teams. Track record of driving measurable improvements in efficiency, cost reduction, and organizational performance. Deep understanding of cross-functional leadership, team building, and change management. Passion for the cannabis industry, social impact, and operating with integrity in complex regulatory environments. Bonus Points: Direct experience in the cannabis industry, including retail operations, supply chain, or multi-state expansion. Familiarity with cannabis compliance systems (e.g., Metrc), retail tech platforms, and ERP or inventory management tools. Experience scaling businesses through rapid growth, M&A, or restructuring. Prior leadership in vertically integrated or omni-channel business models (retail, delivery, wholesale, B2B).
