A contract position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a 3rd-grade student in a general education classroom setting. This role is based in Eureka, California, at an elementary school and is scheduled from ASAP through June 4th, 2026. The position is approximately 30 hours per week, with working hours from 7:50 AM to 2:15 PM.

Key responsibilities include providing one-on-one sign language interpreting services to facilitate effective communication for the student within the classroom environment. The interpreter will ensure that the student fully participates in educational activities alongside their peers and supports the communication needs of both the student and instructional staff. Qualifications for this role: Proficient ASL fluency or certification as an Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) at a minimum rating of 4.0 Experience working as a paraprofessional or interpreter within an educational setting, preferably with elementary-aged children Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teachers and support staff Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment This contract assignment offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a students learning experience in a supportive school community.
