Key Responsibilities: Provide professional sign language interpreting services for a student in an elementary school environment. Facilitate clear and accurate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and educators, peers, and staff. Collaborate with educators and support staff to understand lesson content and context for accurate interpretation. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards related to interpreting and student information. Qualifications and Experience: Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter. Minimum EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.2. Experience working with elementary-age students preferred. Ability to provide one-on-one interpreting services with accuracy and professionalism. Strong understanding of educational environments and interpreting protocols.
