A K-12 school in Westminster, MD is seeking a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the upcoming school year. This contract position offers a 35-hour workweek, serving students with visual impairments across elementary to high school levels. Key Responsibilities: Assess and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored for students with visual impairments Provide specialized instruction in braille, assistive technology, and daily living skills Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Maintain documentation and comply with state and federal guidelines for special education services Qualifications: Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired Experience working with K-12 students who have vision impairments Knowledge of braille, accessible instructional materials, and assistive technology Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively Location: Westminster, MD
