A middle school in Oceanside, CA is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 support for a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This contract position offers a school-year schedule with consistent weekday hours from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM (32.5 hours/week). This role focuses on implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to manage avoidance and peer conflict behaviors.

Collect and document data related to student progress and behavior outcomes. Collaborate closely with teachers, behavior specialists, and parents to align on goals and strategies. Maintain professionalism and employ de-escalation methods during challenging moments. Qualifications: Current registration as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the BACB is required. Active Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification is mandatory. Experience working with students diagnosed with ASD is highly preferred. Ability to remain calm and utilize effective de-escalation strategies. Strong communication and collaboration skills for team-oriented work.
