A middle school in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one support for a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This contract position runs during the school calendar year and offers a weekday schedule from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver consistent 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based support to the assigned student. Implement behavior intervention plans targeting avoidance and peer conflict behaviors. Collect and document data on the student's performance and progress. Collaborate with teachers, behavior specialists, and parents to promote student success. Maintain professionalism and apply effective de-escalation techniques in challenging situations. Qualifications: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification. Experience working with students with ASD preferred. Ability to remain calm and patient, utilizing de-escalation strategies effectively. Strong communication and collaboration skills with team members and parents. Location: Middle school setting in Carlsbad, CA. Benefits: Regular weekday schedule aligned with the school calendar.
