An elementary school in the Oakland area is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 20252026 school year. This contract position offers a 37.5-hour workweek supporting students from Pre-K through 5th grade. Key Responsibilities: Provide assessment, treatment, and support services to students with speech and language needs from Pre-K to 5th grade Monitor and supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and speech therapy programs (such as VOCO) Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Maintain detailed documentation of progress and communicate effectively with school personnel and parents Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams to support student success Qualifications: Valid SLP license and/or certification appropriate for school-based practice Eligibility to serve as a Clinical Fellow with supervision provided Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and therapeutic interventions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, staff, and families Ability to manage caseloads and work independently within a school setting Location: Oakland, CA area (with some coordination in Piedmont, CA) This position provides an engaging environment to support young learners communication development in a dynamic elementary school.
