Sign Language Interpreters are needed for the 2025/2026 school year to provide direct support to elementary students in a classroom setting located in Vancleave, MS. These contract positions involve working one-on-one with general education students at the 2nd, 4th, and 5th-grade levels.

Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Key Responsibilities: Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their teachers, peers, and other staff members. Provide accurate and expressive interpreting services during instruction, classroom activities, and school events. Collaborate with educational professionals to support student learning and inclusion. Adapt interpreting methods based on student needs to ensure full participation. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Qualifications: Valid certification such as RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf), EIPA score of 3.0 or higher, or MS Quality Assurance (QA) license. Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred. Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of deaf culture. Ability to work effectively with elementary-age students.
