A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is sought for a K-12 educational setting in Modesto, CA, to support students from Pre-K through 8th grade during the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position spans from September 2, 2025, to June 9, 2026, encompassing a 40-hour workweek with one opening available.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to students Pre-K through 8th grade, addressing developmental and functional needs. Collaborate with educational teams, families, and supervising occupational therapists to develop and implement effective intervention plans. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies and regulations. Participate in meetings and provide feedback to support individualized education programs (IEPs). Coordinate therapy schedules to optimize caseload management and student accessibility. Qualifications: Valid COTA certification with applicable state licensure. Experience in both healthcare and school-based occupational therapy preferred. Familiarity with pediatric populations, particularly in educational settings. Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with supervising OTs. Willingness to engage in virtual supervision as arranged by the director. Additional Details: Position is permanent placement with a contract term corresponding to the academic year. Caseload includes students from Pre-K through 8th grade. Supervision can be provided virtually, allowing flexibility in oversight arrangements.
