A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed or credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinician to support K-12 students within a dynamic school setting in Rockford, IL. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, offering 37.5 hours per week with part-time arrangements considered.

Key Responsibilities: Facilitate students' participation in classroom activities by supporting fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills Modify tasks or classroom environments to accommodate individual student needs Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing for speech and language development Prepare clear, comprehensive reports based on assessments and observations Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations Collaborate with parents, educators, and therapy team members to communicate student progress and tailor interventions Qualifications: Valid or qualifying Illinois state license for Speech-Language Pathology Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams Flexibility and strong problem-solving capabilities to meet diverse student needs Benefits: Paid orientation scheduled for August 4-5, with student engagement beginning August 11, 2025, through May 21, 2026 Stable, full-time schedule with competitive pay ranging from $45 to $55 per hour based on experience Weekly pay distribution Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Access to supervisors within the discipline for ongoing professional support and development Buddy Program to enhance new hire integration and orientation experience Availability of equipment and testing materials to support clinical work Opportunities for professional development courses focused on school-based therapy services This role offers a meaningful way to impact student success through effective speech and language support.
