A full-time Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Teacher position is available for the upcoming school year in Lancaster, CA. This contract role offers the opportunity to support K-12 students in developing essential social and emotional skills, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized SEL instruction tailored to K-12 students emotional and social development.
Collaborate with special education and general education staff to integrate SEL strategies into the broader curriculum.
Assess student needs and progress while adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning profiles.
Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes student confidence, resilience, and interpersonal skills.
Participate in planning meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities related to SEL.
Qualifications:
Valid teaching credential in Special Education or related certification.
Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a special education or SEL setting.
Strong understanding of social-emotional learning frameworks and behavioral intervention strategies.
Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Commitment to fostering a positive, student-centered learning environment.
