Classroom Assistant | Kansas City, Missouri

Support the educational growth of K-12 students as a Paraprofessional in a dynamic school setting located in Kansas City, MO. This contract role spans the full school year (NSY), offering an opportunity to contribute directly to student success through classroom assistance and individualized support. Key Responsibilities: Provide instructional support to teachers by assisting students with academic tasks and reinforcing lessons. Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive, inclusive learning environment. Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and the organization of classroom resources. Support students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring additional attention or accommodations. Monitor and document student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff. Collaborate with educators to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support services. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience working with children in an educational or childcare capacity preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a classroom team. Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning.
