A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in Stamford, CT. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students goals and abilities
Adapt lesson plans to accommodate various learning styles and needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student progress
Monitor student performance and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress regularly with stakeholders
Provide a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and independence
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Special Education
Experience working with middle school-aged students in a special education setting
Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavior management techniques
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Patience, empathy, and flexibility to meet the individual needs of students
