Position Duration: Contract for the upcoming school year (NSY) Grade Levels: Transitional Kindergarten through 3rd grade (TK-3) Specialization: Moderate to Severe Disabilities (SPED) Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of TK-3 students with moderate to severe disabilities Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, parents, and other educators to provide comprehensive support Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to promote academic, social, and emotional growth Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to optimize learning outcomes Maintain accurate records and participate in evaluation meetings to ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations Qualifications and Experience: Valid special education teaching credential or certification applicable to moderate to severe disabilities Experience working with young children in early childhood or elementary settings, specifically TK-3 grade levels Strong knowledge of IEP development and special education laws and policies Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with families and educational teams This role offers a rewarding environment where educators can make a lasting difference in the lives of children with special needs.
