Contract (Current School Year) Key Responsibilities: Assess and evaluate the educational needs of students with visual impairments. Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and curricula that accommodate students' visual abilities. Provide instruction in Braille, use of assistive technology, orientation and mobility skills, and daily living skills as appropriate. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and related service providers to ensure consistent support and accommodations. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to support student goals. Qualifications: Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments. Knowledge of Braille, assistive technologies, and accessible instructional methods. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
