An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in grades K-2 during the 2025-2026 school year. This full-semester contract position is based in Montpelier, VT, and involves working directly with a caseload of 15-20 students, delivering individualized instructional support to meet diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement specialized educational plans aligned with IEP goals for students in kindergarten through second grade Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive learning environment Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to promote academic and social growth Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with state and district guidelines Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of effective classroom strategies Qualifications: Valid Vermont AOE Special Education License Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably K-2 Strong knowledge of special education laws, individualized instruction, and assessment methods Ability to engage students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills This role requires candidates who are available for in-person interviews immediately.
