Overview
The Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time faculty clinical investigator clinician-research track position for the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. This position seeks an ABIM certified (or eligible) hematologist-oncologist with experience in hematologic malignancies and blood and marrow transplantation and an active interest in the development and conduct of clinical trials. This individual will have a primarily clinical assignment, but will also be expected to develop, conduct, and participate in clinical trials and other collaborative research involving patients with hematologic malignancies, blood and marrow transplantation, and cellular immunotherapy. Our Hematologic Malignancy/BMT/Cell Therapy group is a charter Core Center of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network for 20 years, has been FACT-accredited since 2000, is one of 12 centers in the LLS Beat AML consortium, and has had consistent growth in patient volumes, while achieving superior outcomes. Our group conducts a number of investigator-initiated clinical trials and first in human trials of BMT with dendritic cell vaccines manufactured in our Cancer Center GMP facility. Responsibilities
Primarily clinical assignment with expected development, conduct, and participation in clinical trials related to hematologic malignancies, blood and marrow transplantation, and cellular immunotherapy. Engage in development of investigator-initiated clinical trials and collaborations with laboratory scientists for translational research when appropriate. Contribute to the BMT program leadership, education, research, accreditation, and clinical programming, in line with FACT-JACIE Standards and other state/federal regulations. Collaborate with the Cancer Center Clinical Research Office to utilize study coordinators, regulatory support, and biostatistical resources; participate in ongoing clinical trial activities and patient care initiatives. Support and participate in the group’s activities as part of the UF Division of Hematology and Oncology within the UF Health Cancer Center. Resources and Environment

The UF Health Cancer Center Clinical Research Office provides clinical research support, and the center offers development opportunities through the UF Health CTSI, formal mentorship programs, and teaching/research opportunities supported by the UF Health Cancer Center. Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
and be eligible for a Florida Medical License. Experience in hematologic malignancies and blood and marrow transplantation; active interest in clinical trials. Ideal candidates will have training and some experience in developing investigator-initiated clinical trials and interacting with laboratory scientists for translational research. Strong commitment to service, excellent verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, and dedication to training tomorrow’s doctors. Additional program notes:
