Position Summary The Department of Medicine is seeking a full‑time faculty clinical investigator clinician‑research track position for the Division of Hematology/Oncology. The role seeks an ABIM‑certified or eligible hematologist‑oncologist with experience in hematologic malignancies, blood and marrow transplantation, and an active interest in developing and conducting clinical trials. The primary assignment is clinical, with expectations to develop, conduct, and participate in clinical trials and collaborative research involving patients with hematologic malignancies, blood and marrow transplantation, and cellular immunotherapy.
Our Hematologic Malignancy/BMT/Cell Therapy group is a charter Core Center of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network, FACT‑accredited since 2000, and part of the LLS Beat AML consortium. The group conducts investigator‑initiated and first‑in‑human trials of BMT with dendritic cell vaccines and offers protected time and access to the Cancer Center clinical research office.
Responsibilities
Provide primary clinical care for patients with hematologic malignancies, blood and marrow transplantation, and cellular immunotherapy.
Develop, conduct, and participate in clinical trials and other collaborative research projects.
Collaborate with laboratory scientists for translational research initiatives.
Utilize protected time and resources provided by the Cancer Center clinical research office, including study coordination, regulatory support, and biostatistical assistance.
Contribute to the core research program and enter approximately 15% of new patients into interventional trials.
Qualifications
MD, DO, or PhD with Board Eligibility/Certification in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology; ABIM certified (or eligible).
Experience in hematologic malignancies and blood & marrow transplantation.
Active interest and experience in designing and conducting investigator‑initiated clinical trials.
Eligibility for a Florida medical license.
Foreign nationals whose employment conditions meet federal and University requirements are eligible to apply.
