Nashville Public Radio
The social media and events coordinator will work closely with the communications, community outreach, and political advocacy teams to create a current and engaging social media presence across multiple platforms. In addition to managing social media, this staff member will be responsible for organizing and managing all major events.
Reports to: Communications Director
Job Type: Full Time; exempt
Location: ORTL Office, Hybrid option negotiable. This is not a fully remote position.
Salary Range: $47,500-$51,500
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communications
Plan and execute a consistent and balanced social media schedule across all platforms Establish multi-channel social media strategies Work alongside Communications Director to keep content current and consistent within brand guidelines Track engagement across various platforms and make data-driven decisions Research further ways to leverage social media platforms Design and/or update visual materials, both digital and print, for various teams Update Life in Oregon newsletter design with new content Facilitate vendors for projects outside skillset Other tasks as assigned Event Management
Work alongside directors to manage and assist in production for ORTL major events, including, but not limited to Oregon March for Life, Together We Advocate conference, A Night for Advocacy annual fundraising dinner, and other smaller event assistance as assigned. Event duties include, but are not limited to: Leading meetings Organizing event timelines and marketing publications Speaker and vendor coordination Budget and expenditure tracking Desired Competencies and Experience
Bachelors degree in communications or a related degree, or 2+ years of related experience Above average written and oral communication skills across a wide range of styles and for multiple channels Willingness to be a public face and name within the pro-life movement in Oregon, requiring strict adherence to brand guidelines Proficiency in software platforms, including but not limited to Google Suite, Canva, and Adobe tools (i.e. InDesign) Proficiency with social networking tools, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok Personal interest and use of social networking tools Strong graphic design sense, experience preferred Short-form videography and editing skills Commitment to the goals of ORTL (including a commitment to compassionate, nonsectarian dialogue) Strong interest in complex problem solving Excellent organization and project management skills Consistent exercise of independent judgment, integrity, and discretion in matters of significance Physical Requirements
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies Ability to listen and speak clearly on the phone Opportunity
