Overview The Vice President of Engineering is responsible for leading, delegating, and supporting the development of practices, procedures, and systems to support a continuously improving and profitable engineering organization. Responsibilities Oversee design, modification, and improvement of company engineering projects and services; direct the design of testing and maintenance processes, and ensure quality control. Delegate and empower engineering directors and project managers in formulating effective business plans, financial analytics, and client communications. Establish budget controls, coordinate project and process changes to maintain and improve cost/benefit ratio. Review engineering designs in light of the organization’s strategic goals and performance objectives. Coordinate the development of an efficient organizational structure, including the development of knowledge, skills and abilities; establish a succession plan to facilitate steady organizational growth and efficiency. Administrative duties. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management. 7+ years of engineering leadership experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and able to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. Industry awareness of the Company’s competitors. Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary. Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification. Professional Engineer License. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds. Travel: 30% of time to job site(s)/office location. Pay Range USD $178,000.00 - USD $250,000.00 /Yr.
