in downtown St. Louis where your writing helps win work that shapes the region. In this proposal first role, you'll be the hub for
RFP/RFQ/SOQ
responses-organizing inputs from engineers and architects, crafting clear narratives, and delivering compliant, polished submittals. You'll also support interview decks and light website/news updates. What You'll Do - Coordinate and produce compliant proposals for public/private clients (RFP/RFQ/SOQ). - Write and edit project narratives, approaches, cover letters, and resumes tailored to evaluation criteria. - Build and maintain a proposal library (boilerplates, resumes, case blurbs, images). - Create clean, on brand layouts in
InDesign
and impactful
PowerPoint
interview decks. - Partner with technical SMEs to gather content on time; drive version control and final QA/QC. - Perform light website/news updates (personnel changes, wins, announcements). What You Bring - Strong
technical writing
skills and detail orientation; 1-4+ years in engineering/construction (AEC) proposals
or
highly relevant RFP driven environments. - Hands on experience responding to RFPs/RFQs/SOQs with on time, compliant submittals. - Proficiency with
Microsoft Office
(Word/PowerPoint) and
Adobe InDesign
(styles, templates, export). - Organized under deadlines; calm communicator who can wrangle SME input. - Ability to provide
1-2 writing samples
(project blurb + approach/cover letter; redact PII). Bonus Points - Prior experience in engineering/construction (AEC) and public sector proposals. - Basic
Photoshop/Illustrator
for imagery; CMS experience for light site updates. - SMPS or similar professional involvement.
