Overview

Since our founding in 1924, we have worked to reduce cardiovascular disease deaths and continue to advance health outcomes. We are hiring a Development Director in Dallas, TX. The director will generate revenue for the Collin County fundraising campaign, including the Heart of Collin County event. This is an office-based position with a hybrid schedule; the office is in Irving, TX. We have a fast-paced sales-type environment focused on driving revenue in support of our mission. The compensation includes a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of base pay, based on revenue targets and triggers. Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations. Achieve revenue goals by building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors.

Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors by researching opportunities aligned with campaign goals and the Association's mission.

Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.

Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership, volunteer committees, and day-of-the-event volunteers.

Coordinate the event auction, including leading a committee of volunteers to solicit auction items and prepare packages that raise funds.

Lead and engage new individual membership for the Cor Vitae giving society in partnership with the fundraising team; plan and implement regular engagement events for members.

Plan and implement events in collaboration with internal and external partners.

Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.

Qualifications

3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related fields.

University/College degree or equivalent experience.

Ability to travel within Collin County approximately 75% of the time; requires reliable transportation.

Ability to travel to the Irving office 2-3 days a week, or as needed.

Ability to lift and/or move large objects (e.g., boxes) with assistance as needed.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred experiences and skills

Experience managing and cultivating relationships with C-suite leaders.

Knowledge of corporate and community networks.
