We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a respected law firm based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This permanent position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days in the office each week, and provides an opportunity to work on complex civil defense litigation cases. The role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting attorneys in high-stakes personal injury, wrongful death, and commercial litigation matters while enjoying competitive compensation and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive case management support by organizing case files, managing discovery materials, and preparing for trial proceedings. Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery responses, for state and federal courts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements. Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses to facilitate smooth case progression. Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness files to assist attorneys during mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and ensure thorough preparation. Manage billing functions, including accurate time entry and tracking for legal matters. Format and file documents electronically using e-filing systems for state and federal courts. Summarize depositions and other case materials to assist attorneys in building effective arguments. Draft subpoenas and organize evidence to support litigation efforts. Collaborate with attorneys and staff to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, focusing on civil defense litigation. Strong proficiency in case management software, e-filing systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated expertise in billing and time entry for legal matters. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously. Proven ability to conduct legal research and draft high-quality legal documents. Familiarity with state and federal court systems, particularly in e-filing procedures. Paralegal certification or equivalent experience is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with legal teams and clients.
