This opportunity seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-1 students in a transitional self-contained elementary classroom. This is a full-time, contract position for the contracted school year (CSY) located in Cicero, IL.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the academic, social, and emotional needs of students with disabilities in a self-contained K-1 classroom Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families, therapists, and support staff Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and growth Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory and school policies Qualifications: Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement Experience working in special education, preferably with early elementary-aged children Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral interventions Excellent communication and teamwork skills Benefits and Compensation: W-2 contract arrangement Competitive compensation aligned with experience and credentials Access to a 401(k) retirement plan Insurance options and additional employee benefits This role offers an important opportunity to make a difference in young learners' lives through specialized teaching and support.
