Position Overview: As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will optimize patient care by ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medications. You will collaborate with providers and nursing staff, oversee pharmacy technicians, and contribute to advancing patient outcomes through clinical expertise. Schedule: Full-time, 10-hour night shifts
Rotating weekends
Responsibilities: Dispense and verify medications with accuracy and efficiency
Manage IV admixture program and sterile compounding as needed
Provide drug information and serve as a clinical resource to healthcare staff
Monitor medication therapy for safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness
Document interventions and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, students, and other support staff
Qualifications: B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
Active Texas pharmacist license in good standing
BLS certification (required within 90 days of hire)
ALS/ACLS certification required for participation in Code Blue coverage
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
1+ year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
