10-hour night shifts with rotating weekends Role Overview
We are looking for a highly qualified Clinical Pharmacist to join our overnight team in a dynamic inpatient setting. In this critical role, you'll deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care during night hours, ensuring safety, efficiency, and clinical excellence. Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered medication servicesincluding order verification, dispensing, and documentation.
Lead sterile compounding, IV admixture preparation, and ensure compliance with medication safety protocols.
Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff during overnight operations.
Act as a clinical resourceoffering accurate drug information and collaborating with healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in emergency responses and support interdisciplinary clinical initiatives.
Drive quality improvement efforts and maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE-accredited institution.
Active pharmacist license in good standing in Texas.
BLS certification (to be obtained within 90 days of hire); ACLS/PALS certifications if applicable.
Ability to think critically, make independent decisions, and function effectively in a fast-paced night-shift environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Pharm.D. preferred.
Completion of a PGY?1 residency or equivalent post-graduate hospital experience.
Experience in specialized inpatient areas such as critical care, oncology, or sterile compounding.
