This role offers the opportunity to support K-12 students by delivering specialized physical education tailored to diverse learning and physical abilities. The Adaptive Physical Education Teacher will design and implement individualized programs that promote physical wellness, motor skills development, and overall student engagement in movement activities.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and conduct adaptive physical education lessons for students with varying abilities across K-12 grades Assess student needs and abilities to create personalized instructional plans Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic student support Monitor and document student progress, adjusting activities and goals accordingly Promote an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment that encourages student participation Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Adaptive Physical Education or related field Experience working with diverse student populations in K-12 settings Strong knowledge of adaptive physical education methodologies and instructional strategies Excellent communication skills for coordination with multidisciplinary teams and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive educational atmosphere Location: Position based in Saint Paul, MN, serving students within a K-12 school setting Contract Details: Contract position aligned with the normal school year (NSY) This role is ideal for professionals dedicated to enhancing the physical education experiences of students with special needs, enabling them to achieve their fullest potential.
