A full-time position is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in moderate severe or extensive needs, serving kindergarten through second grade students in an elementary school setting. The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with moderate severe or extensive disabilities Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Delivering instruction that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth Utilizing specialized teaching strategies and assistive technology to enhance learning outcomes Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines Qualifications: Valid moderate severe or extensive needs credential required Experience working with K-2 students in a special education setting preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage a caseload of 8-10 students effectively This is a direct hire role for the 2025-2026 school year, from August 11, 2025, to June 5, 2026. The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, offering consistent and supportive work hours within a positive school environment.
