A Special Education teaching opportunity is available for an Elementary School setting, serving students in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade. This contract position runs for the full school year, beginning August 7, 2025, and concluding on June 4, 2026.

The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below. This role is ideal for educators with expertise in providing instruction and support to students with extensive support needs. Certification in Special Education with an emphasis on Extensive Supports Needs (ESN) is required. The total caseload for this position is 11 students, allowing for focused and individualized instruction. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, aides, and general education staff to support student success. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and adjust strategies to meet evolving needs. Create and implement engaging lesson plans that address functional skills, communication, and academic goals. Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment promoting social and emotional development. Qualifications: Valid Special Education certification with Extensive Supports Needs (ESN) credential. Proven experience teaching elementary-aged students with significant disabilities. Strong knowledge of best practices in special education and individualized instruction. Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and external service providers. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
