Whats The Role
The Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and overseeing a clearly defined integrated marketing strategy in a manner that supports consistent business growth, builds brand equity, differentiation, and awareness, and is in congruence with the Regional Brand, Marketing, and Communications Strategy. The Marketing & Communications Specialist will drive the companys efforts to position itself as a market leader, achieve its revenue growth, and build a high-performance team. S/He will take business strategy and translate it into customer communications across all touchpoints. What You'll Do Develop end-to-end B2C marketing executions across cross-functional teams, including advertising, brand communications, and digital execution, to ensure an efficient and effective customer journey. Own the planning process as a critical function to bring the commercial plan together and translate it into marketing plans. Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure we have the right CVP, promotion, and media pressure to achieve our business results. Implement the consumer marketing activities through end-to-end campaigns in all available channels Manage promotional collateral and activities that support sales initiatives. Demonstrate clear understanding of the fixed/mobile budget, objectives, and commercial targets. Prepare and manage budget and allocation against commercial objectives and targets. Monitor competitive activity, providing feedback and proactive suggestions to in-country sales and service teams as well as the commercial team. Collaborate with digital strategy and creative teams to ensure that digital strategies are properly integrated within the larger marketing programs. Work with central and local advertising agency partners to develop and execute advertising in support of the annual marketing plan. Work with the Central Marketing Strategy team to execute campaign toolkits in a way thats meaningful and relevant for the local market. Develop annual sponsorship & influencer plan and execute E2E activations to support that strategy for B2B and B2C Ensure a consistent customer experience for all promotions and offerings in the market that is aligned to the brand values and tone. Align with the media planner lead to translate commercial priorities into a media plandigital, traditional, and CBMthat builds the brand and generates sales. Work with the digital team to leverage analytics data, digital trends, user behaviors, and competitive audit evaluations to inform the digital marketing approach. Provide branding, sales collateral, and materials as requested and aligned to commercial priorities. Provide branding for sales events and support in setup to ensure brand alignment. Manage monthly forecast/re-forecast, accrual process, PO & Expense management CSR Initiative Support, i.e., School Givebacks, Fundraising, Disaster Relief, Jump.
B2B
Work with the central B2B team to align marketing plans. Work with the B2B sales team to execute local campaigns. Negotiate and activate local B2B sponsorships and events.
Communications
Align with the Comms team to ensure brand & marketing campaign messages are communicated. Execute the internal and corporate communications strategy with on-the-ground execution of press releases and briefings and other external communications-related activities. Currently includes marketing initiatives and broader company support. Ensure that a strong media and stakeholder engagement plan is in place to help meet business goals. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external publications, inclusive of media personnel, regulatory officials, and other key interest groups. Actively identify communications gaps and opportunities for the business and propose and implement strategies and plans to address them when necessary. Support the people team with communication materials for internal engagement campaigns. Execute Internal Events (IWD, Mission Week, etc.). Support the country manager with internal communications.
Knowledge & Experience
2 to 5 years of work experience in progressively responsible roles in marketing, public relations, and/or communications. Experience in digital marketing and online PR in an agency or consumer branding environment will be an asset A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or other related field required; an advanced degree will be an asset Must be able to speak French.
