Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Data and Financial Analyst to leverage analytical, financial, and technical skills to innovate, build, and maintain well-managed data solutions in support of all company objectives, with a particular focus on the financial analysis of customer data. This role applies deep knowledge to provide insights and recommendations that inform business decisions and process engineering. In this role, you will maintain budgets and forecasts, as well as a periodic reporting package for leadership and the Board of Directors.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develops and maintains a periodic reporting package related to the overall budget.
  • Maintains and improves existing tools and processes related to tracking deals and required accounting transactions.
  • Develops and maintains a growing suite of reports and dashboards that service the information needs of various groups across Operations and Accounting.
  • Collaborates with a cross-segment of business owners to develop new reporting protocols that measure KPIs, ROIs, and other metrics as needed by each business unit.
  • Collaborates with the business owners across the distribution supply chain to provide consultancy and translate the business needs to design, develop, and deliver tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization.
  • Prepares analysis and business intelligence to support distribution processing and financial reporting, and the negotiation of deals.
  • Tracks trends and surfaces insights for the organization.
  • Designs and creates complex distribution models, performs scenario testing and other forms of analysis to accuracy.
  • Performs extensive ad hoc/offline distribution processing, which includes data modeling, distribution file creation, data archiving, and quality assurance.
  • Identifies and implements new controls to mitigate risk.
  • Understands all aspects of the supply chain, including data structures, business processes, and distribution methodologies.
  • Directly supervises departmental team members.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, directing, and ensuring reliability of work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • 6+ years of directly related experience and a combination of the required technical skills listed below:
  • SQL experience required.
  • Scripting experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting.
  • Strong experience with data in various forms (data warehouses/SQL, unstructured data environments).
  • Working experience with various BI Reporting Tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, preparation and presentation of findings and recommendations to Sr. Management
  • Demonstrated ability to explore and quickly grasp technologies, data models and business processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite with an emphasis on Excel and Access.
  • Familiarity with the music industry preferred.
  • Understanding of BI and Data Warehouse Database Concepts.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required with emphasis in Finance, Economics, or similar discipline preferred. Graduate Degree preferred.
