PURPLE, an industry leader in luxury PR representing top names in Fashion, Lifestyle, and Beauty, is actively seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Showroom Assistant to join the New York office. This entry-level position supports the US Showroom Manager in the daily operations of the showroom, following a hands-on rotation schedule with a focus on sample trafficking, returns, packing and shipping, and maintaining an organized space. A key part of the role is helping to put processes in place for send-outs, returns, and intern support and ensuring those processes are consistently followed. The Showroom Assistant will also oversee interns each semester and provide hands-on support to the Fashion team as needed. Key Responsibilities Support the flow of all samples coming into and out of the showroom using Launchmetrics/Fashion GPS. Help ensure consistency across send-outs, returns, and dispatch operations. Prepare, pack, and book messengers/couriers or shipments for send-outs, both domestically and internationally. Assist with unboxing, checking in, steaming, and organizing samples. Maintain a clean and orderly showroom and dispatch area at all times. Guide and manage interns (12 per semester), ensuring they follow established processes and complete daily tasks. Communicate updates on sample availability, delays, or issues to the US Showroom Manager and relevant account teams. Support showroom pulls, returns, seasonal send-backs, and Press Day or special projects as needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1+ years previous retail, showroom, or fashion internship experience. Proficiency with Launchmetrics/Fashion GPS preferred but not required (training available). Highly organized, proactive, and process-driven, with strong attention to detail. Ability to help enforce structure and keep others accountable to established workflows. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Comfortable lifting and moving boxes (up to 30 lbs). Proficient in Microsoft Office and email.
