Job Description Summary Program Assistant to provide technical and clinical support for research studies involving (1) patients being seen for the standard of care procedures and (2) patient being seen at their standard of care clinic visits.

Job Description

Job Duties:

35% - Duties will include subject pre-screening, data entry, routine data management tracking, and general administrative support for the research team.

30% - Program assistant will coordinate the distribution of research materials and will keep accurate records. The applicant will directly interact with site personnel and principal investigators, thereby requiring effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

20% - The program assistant will review patient medical records to identify subjects who qualify for actively enrolling studies. Program assistant will interview qualifying patients, fully explain details of the research studies, and enroll interested patients and/or their family members.

15% - This individual will conduct assessments of study patients per study protocol.

Preferred Experience, Abilities, and Knowledge: Incumbent must have a proven track record of detail-orientation and high level of accuracy. Must be fluent in using computer data-management software, such as Microsoft Excel. Maintains current and long-term follow-up data on all assigned study subjects. As part of research team, attends meetings and coordinates work schedule as required. Assists with IRB or sponsor audits or monitoring visits, as required and resolves findings under supervision. Supports other Study Coordinators, as needed. Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy Ability to exercise judgment and discretion Ability to multi-task: conduct study activities for multiple protocols and set priorities against deadlines Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally Strong computer software knowledge and skills Excellent interpersonal skills Professional demeanor

Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and three years of relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
