Fiscal Services Tech

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center's Department of Pathology is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented and collaborative individual to join our finance team as a Fiscal Service Tech. This position plays a key role in supporting departmental financial operations and ensuring compliance with UNM purchasing standards including reconciling records, processing payroll, approving PCard transactions, and assisting with inventory management. Office hours are Monday

Friday, 8am to 5pm with no weekends scheduled, there may be occasional overtime, or a flexible schedule may be required to meet deadlines/coordinate special events. A hybrid schedule combining on-site and telecommuting may be available once training is complete. Key Responsibilities: Perform purchasing duties for 10 active research labs Project and track expenses for various funding sources Process travel and goods reimbursements Prepare journal entries and assist with internal billing Support payroll functions including time entry Assist with financial oversight and PCard expense approvals Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with UNM purchasing and PCards Knowledge of UNM software applications (LoboMart, Chrome River, and Banner) Experience with Excel and reconciliations Ability to perform repetitive tasks with efficiency and accuracy Strong attention to detail and organizational skills This is a benefits eligible position.
