A speech-language pathologist (SLP) with certification of clinical competence (CCC) and school certification is needed for a high school setting in Providence, RI. This contract position covers the full school year and offers the opportunity to work with diverse student populations to support their communication development and academic success.
Key Qualifications:
Holds valid SLP-CCC certification
Licensed or certified as a school-based speech-language pathologist
Experience working with adolescents in an educational environment
Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders affecting high school students
Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and communication disorders in students
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and reports
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting
Provide consultative services to staff and families to enhance communication strategies
Stay current with best practices and evidence-based therapy techniques
