A contract position is available for a School Psychologist serving an elementary school setting in Elgin, IL. This role is designated for the current school year and involves supporting students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

Key responsibilities include conducting initial evaluations and reevaluations for students, participating actively in the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and managing an elementary caseload. The student population is approximately 450, with a typical evaluation volume well under 40 cases, allowing for focused and thorough assessments. Work hours are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, aligning with the school's operational day. The psychologist will work closely with educators and support staff to promote the academic, social, and emotional wellbeing of students. Qualifications and experience desired: Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure Experience working with elementary-aged children (grades K-5) Proficiency in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations Knowledge of MTSS frameworks and collaborative intervention strategies Strong communication skills to liaise with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to manage a caseload with attention to detail and time management Responsibilities include: Performing initial and reevaluations to identify students educational and psychological needs Contributing to MTSS discussions and interventions to support student success Maintaining accurate records and reports on evaluations and interventions Consulting with teachers and parents to provide guidance and support This contract opportunity offers a vital role in supporting students growth within an elementary school environment.
