Location: North Grosvenordale, CT Duration: Contract (8/26 or ASAP start 6/11 end) Hours: 7:25 AM 2:05 PM This position offers an opportunity to support a mild to moderate special education population in an inclusion/resource setting. The role involves teaching both middle school and high school students on alternating days, providing tailored instruction and support to meet their individual needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades 6-12 Deliver instruction in both inclusion and resource settings, adapting strategies to various learning styles Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress Monitor and document student performance and behavioral data Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports social and academic growth Qualifications: Valid Connecticut Special Education teaching certification, covering grades 6-12 or K-12 Experience working with mild to moderate special education populations preferred Ability to manage caseload across multiple grade levels, including middle and high school settings Strong communication and organizational skills Benefits and Perks: Competitive hourly pay rate of $30-$45 Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Weekly paycheck Candidates will undergo an initial phone screening before advancing for consideration with the school district.
