A school-based Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed to provide specialized support for middle school students in Thousand Oaks, CA, on a contract basis for the remainder of the school year. This position serves as an OT backfill, requiring dedication to delivering high-quality occupational therapy services within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to middle school students to support their academic and functional needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and support staff.
Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as necessary.
Maintain clear and timely documentation in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines.
Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and team members to optimize student outcomes.
Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license.
Experience providing OT services in a school setting, preferably with middle school-aged children.
Strong knowledge of educational regulations and therapy documentation standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to commit to 8 hours per day for the duration of the contract.
