Location: Cleveland, Tennessee Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across K-12 grade levels Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) addressing students unique needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, audiologists, and support staff to ensure accessibility and effective communication Utilize assistive technology and communication methods suitable for students hearing abilities Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success Qualifications: Certified Teacher with credentials applicable for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education Experience working with K-12 students who have hearing impairments Knowledge of communication methods such as sign language, speech reading, and assistive technology Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams and families This contract requires commitment through the normal school year calendar.
