Overview
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leading the full recruitment life cycle to ensure Fairfax Water has the talent needed to achieve its business objectives. Under the general supervision of the Chief of Employee Experience, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will develop strategies to attract top talent, manage the offer process and ensure positive candidate experiences. In addition, the incumbent will plan, develop, and coordinate all day-to-day recruitment activities to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent for Fairfax Water. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, and ensure a positive hiring manager experience. Responsibilities
Coordinates the recruitment, selection, and assessment process including research, market analysis, candidate sourcing, interviews, and providing updates to hiring managers and candidates. Implements strategies related to talent acquisition operation and services. Interprets the effectiveness of policies and procedures to ensure consistency. Prepares, analyzes, and provides reports on miscellaneous subjects, as requested. Develops, builds, and maintains relationships with a variety of key diverse organizations, institutions, professional organizations, and talent acquisition resources. Develops and maintains vendor relationships for recruitment advertisements and analyzes results to determine the most cost-effective methods that yield the largest returns. Develops recruitment policies, procedures, systems, and strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Fairfax Waters acquisition, recruitment, and onboarding processes. Creates positive applicant or candidate experience from pre-hire through onboarding. Interfaces with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. Interfaces with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) tools to manage and track candidates throughout the candidate lifecycle. Prepares and maintains job postings on relevant platforms to attract qualified candidates using various sourcing strategies. Coordinates interview schedules, preparation of interview questions, and other hiring and selection materials. Interfaces with ATS tools to screen applications and identify qualified candidates. Provides recommendations to hiring managers. Partners with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending start dates, and other pertinent details. Attends and conducts interviews with hiring managers. Prepares employment offer letters and hiring packets. Performs candidate reference and credential checks, verifying experience and backgrounds. Regulates recruitment, selection, and assessment processes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. Maintains and updates important documents. Produces reports and analyzes recruitment data. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or required. Qualifications
Graduation from a four-year college/university with a bachelors degree in business or a related field; and a minimum of seven years of experience at a professional level in Human Resources, Business, or any combination of education and experience. Experience recruiting for varied positions at all levels. Experience using technology related to HR, including HRIS (SAP Preferred), SharePoint, and Office 365 (Word, and Excel experience required at intermediate level). Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems. Exceptional communication skills, including writing skills demonstrating the ability to write succinct and detailed documentation for HR programs and activities. Administrative skills that demonstrate attention to detail, organization, time management, problem-solving, and independence. Must demonstrate the ability to independently prioritize workload, take initiative on tasks, and successfully follow-through on assignments. Skilled in compiling, reviewing, and analyzing data using spreadsheets and other software. Demonstrated follow through on multiple detailed assignments concurrently. Experience and solid foundation in Human Resources Recruitment process. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP preferred. Ability to travel to company facilities.
