A K-12 school in Garden Prairie, IL, is seeking multiple Special Education Teachers to support students at both the elementary and high school levels. This is a full contract position for the upcoming school year, ideal for educators passionate about making a meaningful impact through individualized instruction.
Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction in science, math, social studies, and reading for students performing below grade level. Teachers will provide classroom support and one-on-one assistance, focusing on students with social-emotional disabilities to foster both academic and personal growth. The small class sizes, with a staff-to-student ratio of no more than 1:10, enable effective, personalized teaching.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
Certification in Special Education K-12 or relevant credentials
Experience teaching elementary and/or high school special education students
Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Strong skills in classroom and one-on-one student support
Knowledge of strategies to assist students with social-emotional disabilities
Effective communication and collaboration with staff and families
