A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a contract duration covering a full semester, serving Pre-K through 8th grade students in a K-12 school setting located approximately 35 minutes north of Norwich, CT.

You will design instructional and therapeutic lessons aligned with IEP objectives, provide detailed written reports with diagnostic data, and offer recommendations for educational interventions and teaching strategies. Consultative support to teachers and school personnel on student speech and language performance is essential, as is maintaining communication with parents regarding student progress while ensuring confidentiality. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are also key components of this role. Additional duties may be assigned by school leadership as required. Required qualifications and skills: Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant education discipline Certification as an SLP-CCC with experience in pediatrics and healthcare settings Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Understanding of special education principles, federal and state education laws Proficiency in differentiated instruction based on student learning styles Ability to analyze data and develop actionable plans Skilled in using computer network systems and relevant software Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Commitment to professional growth and self-evaluation Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supervising SLPAs This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on student development within a collaborative educational environment.
