Setting: Elementary school Duration: Contract for the current school year (CSY) Schedule: Approximately 10-14 hours per week Availability: Immediate start to cover a maternity leave, from ASAP through November, with the possibility of extension Qualifications and Experience: Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) authorized to practice in a healthcare or school environment Experience working with pediatric populations in either healthcare or educational settings preferred Familiarity with school-based therapy protocols and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) a plus Ability to assess, develop, and implement treatment plans tailored to elementary-aged children Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Primary Responsibilities: Provide therapeutic interventions and support for children with physical challenges Evaluate student progress and modify treatment approaches as needed Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and healthcare regulations Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing individualized service plans Offer guidance and education to school staff and families regarding physical therapy techniques This role provides a meaningful chance to make a difference in students educational experiences through specialized physical therapy services.
