K-5 Grades 6 - 8 Special Ed Teacher | Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

A special education teaching opportunity is available for an experienced educator to provide learning support for students in grades K-8. This role is based onsite at an elementary school in Harrisburg, PA, and offers a contract position for the current school year, running from ASAP through June 2, 2026. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and learning support to students with diverse educational needs across grades K-8 Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students abilities and goals Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress and inclusion Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and communicate regularly with parents and administration Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth Qualifications: Must hold full Pennsylvania licensure in Special Education (Instructional I or II), or be able to obtain certification prior to the start date Experience working in a K-8 learning support classroom preferred Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and classroom management techniques Effective communication and collaboration skills Location: Elementary school setting, Harrisburg, PA
