Travel Interim Director of Pharmacy Kentucky

We are seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy (DOP) for a travel assignment in Kentucky. This leadership role is an excellent opportunity to oversee pharmacy operations during a transition period at a 194-bed hospital (average daily census of 50).
The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role. Assignment Details Start: October 2nd
Duration: 3+ months (until a permanent DOP is hired)
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
No weekend coverage required unless staffing needs change
On-call may be required if staff calls off
Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight of pharmacy operations
Supervise pharmacists and technicians
Support EPIC conversion (Epic experience strongly preferred)
Perform order entry and pharmacy verification as needed
Conduct Omnicell narcotic audits
Serve as a strong administrator ensuring compliance and operational efficiency
Requirements Active Kentucky pharmacist license
Previous inpatient hospital pharmacy leadership experience
Strong administrative and supervisory skills
EPIC experience highly preferred
Familiarity with Omnicell automation systems
Team Structure Staff of 12 FTEs (mix of pharmacists and technicians)
Additional Information Orientation: 25 days depending on learning curve
Dress Code: Scrubs, white coat, or business casual
